HERE'S AN UPDATE ON:
A Letter from Martha Wilson:
Ladies, we can definitely say that we are living through an historical event. We have never seen anything like it, and we have no idea how it will end, nor when.
I’m sure we all agree that it has been painful not to gather together these past months. In light of following the government guidelines, our space does not afford us the privilege of meeting; henceforth our future gatherings will look a bit different.
Many of you were present in February when I shared that we believed that God was leading us out of the corner and into a larger space in Fayetteville. When I knew that God had made it clear it was time to move on, I gave our landlord the heads-up that we would be moving out in the near future. We proceeded to negotiate terms and details on the new space and then Covid-19 arrived, and the order to shelter in place landed on us. All plans screeched to a halt and we waited, as we still wait for God’s lead.
I praise God that we had not gotten far enough in the process to sign a new lease on a much larger space. Ladies, because of your continued faithful giving to Touching Hearts we have not missed a payment on anything! You have shown your support of God’s work in and through TH as you have continued to give financially and in prayer.
Please don’t stop either as we await God’s directions for His future plans.
During a recent Thursday morning Facetime chat, Daphne, Tonya and I were blown away with how God spoke and led us to the next step. He reminded us that before the pandemic, He had clearly spoken that He was moving us out of the corner. We thought He was leading to new space, but as everything came to a screeching halt, he stopped us in our tracks. Now He is asking us to just obey Him one step at a time. He is asking for our obedience in the “I don’t know, and I don’t understand season.”
“He called us out of the corner, and then He closed the doors on our current space and sent us all home. The door that He shut, we will leave shut, and follow Him into the new? The unknown new?”
I can honestly tell you that the three of us were giddy with excitement because we knew He clearly spoke to us. I wonder if this is how Abraham felt when God told him to “Go to the land that I will show you.”
We don’t know where we are going, but we are leaving here.
There, on our picture board above the coffee counter, is the verse that God gave to me in January. It includes pictures of closed and open doors and Revelation 3:7-8:
“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”
Another verse the Lord spoke to us is: Is. 43:18-19:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
So with that clear word from the Lord, I made the call to our landlord telling her that we would vacate our space on May 31.
Ladies, as we have always followed the Spirit’s lead, we will continue.
I invite you to continue this faith journey with us.
What is the new? I don’t know.
But I do know that He who called us is faithful, and He will do it.
We will use the remainder of this month to pack up and go as He leads us. Rest assured we will keep you informed. So in the meantime, let’s continue gathering with our S2S groups, deck churches, and weekly Facebook Live Gatherings.
Blessings to all of you,
Director, Touching Hearts Ministries

It’s more than just another Bible Study…
but we do study the Bible!
It is more than just singing…
we worship a living God!
It is not a prayer meeting…
but we pray expecting God’s answer!
It is more than a group of women fellowshipping...we desire to do life together for His Glory!
Touching Hearts is a group of women from all walks of life seeking to live for His glory. As we gather in fellowship around the study of His word, prayer and worship, we are truly changed.
All are invited to come as you are to be embraced, encouraged, equipped and empowered.
