Spider Web Of Fear

I stopped in my tracks and jotted a note for later pondering. It stuck with me and resonated with what I am seeing and hearing all around me on this July 2020 afternoon. “Americans are riveted and captured by fear at the moment. We are not held down by the virus as much as we are being held down by the spider web of fear. What Are You Eating?

Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 I quickly realized with my new weight loss journey that if I didn’t have a plan, I would certainly fail. Hunger wins out every time if I don’t have the right food choices available. I will eat just about anything that is in sight when the hunger battle begins. Waiting until I am beyond hungry, leaves me in a heap of trouble. I had to get the chips, crackers and candy out of my car so that on those long trips out, I wouldn’t just eat the nearest junk. Yes, it tasted good for the moment and the sugar gave me a boost, but in no time I felt sluggish and sleepy. Sometimes my stomach would ache.

The Day The Mountain Moved

“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 It was a wonderful change of scenery to spend a few days with friends in Blue Ridge, Georgia. It’s a trip my husband and I usually take in October to view the changing leaf color and purchase delicious, sweet apples. I never loose the awe of that first spot where you begin to see mountains that are higher than hills. The mountains of North Georgia always stir the memory of my first trip to Vancouver, BC. I flew into Vancouver where my husband was on a work contract. As we drove from the airport to the hotel, I was amazed at the huge towering mountains. These made the mountains of Georgia look like little bumps in the road. I rep
