Hope Is On The Way
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
I drove a little faster than normal in order to arrive home quickly. It seemed as if the sunshine was beckoning me to complete my days work on the back deck. The gentle breeze mixed with the warm sun made for a perfect afternoon office. I’m sorry if your day didn’t allow for some wonderful outdoor time. I truly hope you too can find a moment to enjoy a spot of this glorious beauty. Too many dreary days can dampen your spirit and press you to feel nothing will ever change, but things are always changing.
The sunshine shouts HOPE right into my marrow. I look up and around and my spirit is revived. Breathe in slowly and believe again. Who doesn’t need some fresh hope these days? Hope for better days.
Not only have we been stuck within some dreary weather, but we have experienced an entire year of stuck. Add to it all of the rapid change of America and you can feel the scream rising up:
Can someone give me a little hope for better days?
Yes, I can. HOPE IS ON THE WAY!
I believe God is proving to us that the only chance of hope and better days is found in Jesus. It’s not in our resources, our health, our job, our family, our church or our nation.
“In his name the nations will put their hope.” Matthew 12:21
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.”

I found myself humming a song early this morning. It was one line that was playing over and over within me. Sitting here in my outside office, I have paused long enough to remember the song and there I find my search for hope realized.
“Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.”

Because of Jesus, we all have bright hope for tomorrow. Thousands upon thousands of blessings are ours because of Him. Hope that He is who He says He is. Hope that every promise He has made will be fulfilled. Hope that He sustains all things. Hope that He never changes. Hope that He is returning for us one day soon.
The trees in my yard continue to look like death, but I know that within a few short weeks they will burst forth with tiny green leaves. There is proof of it already happening as I push back the dead leaves on the ground and see the green peeking out of the winter ground. And right there in the middle of your winter life awaits the hope of new life bursting forth. Maybe you can't see it, but God is up under all of this mess working out His good will. Put your HOPE in the God of Hope!
Awaken beloved one and remember the goodness and faithfulness of our great God. Put your hope in Him. Put all of your hope in Him. Go ahead and release any other place that you have misplaced your hope. It’s perfectly ok, good and right to put it all in God. Because He is our great God of Hope.
Rejoice in Him today.
HOPE IS ON THE WAY AND HIS NAME IS JESUS!
